Geneva is split by the lake into two banks. Pâquis on the right bank is the busiest area, as it ties together Cornavin station, the city beach and the cafes. Eaux-Vives by the water scores the highest for location, and prices climb to match. It is cheaper in the student districts of Plainpalais and Jonction by the Rhone, and in Grottes and Saint-Gervais right by the station.
